Hi! I'm Al Mather and I live in downeast Maine.
I began turning wood back in 2002 and for several years I turned wood full time. I’m currently serving as a pastor in the small rural town of Princeton; and as such, I am now only turning as time permits.
While I do turn some bowls my primary focus is on functional "inside out turnings" and other useful everyday household items such as: hair sticks, rolling pins, doorstops, cookie/biscuit cutters, mushrooms, ornaments and candleholders.
I'm a proud member of the Maine Woodturners as well as the American Association of Woodturners.
I do hope that you'll take some time to browse through this site; and further hope that you'll find as much favor in seeing (and perhaps even using) my work as I do in creating it.
Thanks for stopping by.
